The first thing we've talked about all year is effort. This is a group that plays hard and together. They do everything that we ask them to do. When you get all of that working it usually generates into good things.

All I knew was nobody came up to me to pull me in the office, so I had good feelings about it, but I was just waiting to see if my stuff was still in my locker.

If I hire any of these people, I would resign as county commissioner.

California is getting very serious about this age group and restrictions. The reason is that it saves lives.

I just think it's the freedom that they all have to shoot the ball and play. Everybody on the team knows they have a chance to go in every night and play and make a difference.

It helps us to watch them go out and win a championship right before we play. The girls have really turned it on the last couple of weeks and it inspired us to see the effort they gave. The boys got to see them win a title and it gave us a little bit extra fire coming into our game.

If you were to ask me who our MVP is I couldn't tell you because it's all of them. Regardless of the situation, we can put anyone in the game and make things happen.

Instead of seven guys preparing for a game and eight feeling like they're dummy players we have everybody getting ready for game night.

That's all I wanted. That's what everybody wants, a chance to reach their final goal.
